MUMBAI, Aug. 22 -- Three men attacked a 19-year-old carpenter with a knife on Thursday near Wadala Monorail station in Kokri Agar, Wadala East, and fled with his mobile handset and Rs.10,000 in cash. According to the Wadala Truck Terminus police, the complainant, Irfan Shaikh, a resident of Lalubhai Compound, Govandi, had gone to a friend's place for dinner and was walking back home when the men intercepted him. "Two people arrived on a bike, forced him to sit on the vehicle, and took him to an isolated place, where another accused was waiting. The trio threatened him with a knife and snatched his phone and cash," said a police officer. "When the complainant told them he would complain to the police, they stabbed him on his head, chest and back."
