MUMBAI, Aug. 5 -- A 61-year-old man was killed after being run over by a tempo near the Sandhuwadi bus stop on Sion-Trombay Road in Chembur on Monday while on his way to work. The deceased, Namdev Chavan, was a resident of Ghatla in Chembur and worked as a housekeeping staffer at Diamond Garden. The tempo driver, identified as Mohammad Raja Basirali Khan, 40, later approached the Chembur police. Chavan was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
