Mumbai, June 1 -- The city-based T20 cricket leagues, the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League and the inaugural Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai Women's League, will kick off from Monday at the Wankhede Stadium here. The captains of all the participating teams, including IPL skippers Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane, assembled in an event ahead of the two-week tournament. "I feel it's a great opportunity for the youngsters, especially those coming up the ranks in domestic cricket, to showcase their talent and skills at this level. I feel it has definitely gotten bigger and better since last season," Iyer, captain of SOBO Mumbai Falcons, said. Gujarat's Vedant Patel and Maharashtra's Nirupama Dubey emerged champions in the men's and women's categories, respectively, at the Avaada-Otters Club All-India Squash Tournament 2026. Vedant beat Maharashtra's Rahul Baitha 11-9, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9 in the men's final. Nirupama was leading 11-8, 11-13, 11-7 in the women's final when Anika Dubey retired due to illness.
