Mumbai, June 12 -- A 43-year-old man died after being run over by a school bus that was being reversed while he was asleep behind the vehicle in Borivali East on Monday, police said. The deceased, Dattaram Kapdule, was unmarried and worked odd jobs. He often stayed near his work place. On Monday afternoon, after having lunch, he lay down to rest in a shaded spot behind a parked school bus near Ravishankar School in Kulupwadi, Borivali East. At around 3.45pm, the driver, Ganpat Ghogal, arrived and began reversing the vehicle, unaware that Kapdule was sleeping behind it. Kapdule came under the wheel of the school bus. He sustained fatal injuries. Bystanders alerted the police and emergency services. Kapdule was rushed to a hospital in Kandivli but he was declared dead on arrival. The Kasturba Marg police issued a notice to the driver on Wednesday after Kapdule's brother, Sunil Kapdule. approached them and lodged a complaint. Based on Sunil's complaint, the police registered a case under Section 106(1) (causing death by negligence) and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita....
