Sayali leads Falcons to inaugural T20 title
Mumbai, June 14 -- SoBo Mumbai Falcons, led by India bowler Sayali Satghare, beat Aakash Tigers MWS by 25 runs to win the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women's League at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
Batting first, the Falcons scored 124/6 in 20 overs, with Simran Shaikh scoring a half-century. Satghare contributed a valuable 27 off 20 balls, while Sarika Koli added 24.
Defending a low target however, the Falcons were solid in their bowling performance, with player of the match Janhvi Kate taking 3/21 as the Falcons dismissed the Tigers for 99 to clinch the title.
Another important spell came from 13-year-old Swara Jadhav, whose figures of 2/14 helped her win the Purple Cap award with 10 wickets, tied with Satghare. Jadhav, in fact, got the Falcons to a good start by taking the first wicket and also the last.
For the Tigers, Ritika Yadav was the standout bowler with figures of 3/22 Meanwhile, Tigers' opener Sanika Chalke earned the Orange Cap award after scoring 223 runs.
