NEW DELHI, July 27 -- Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty's run at the China Open ended on Saturday when they lost the men's doubles semi-final to second seeds Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik of Malaysia. The world No.2 pair easily took the first game 21-13 and were leading 13-8 in the second when the Indians fought back to level scores at 16-all. However, the former world champions had enough spark to close the game 21-17 to improve their record to 11-3 against the Indians. Aaron and Soh will take on Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri of Indonesia in the final on Sunday. With the loss, India's campaign came to an end in Changzhou, at the Super 1000 competition. Rankireddy and Shetty will next take part in the $370,00 Macau Open - a Super 300 event - next week. This was the duo's fourth semi-final appearance of the season after also making the last four at Malaysia Open, India Open and Singapore Open. They last made the final of an event way back in May 2024 when they won the Thailand Open....
