ROW ERUPTS over T.N. special representative TO NEW DELHI
Chennai, June 27 -- The state opposition on Friday hit out at the Tamil Nadu government after it appointed Bengaluru-based film producer and real estate developer Venkata K Narayana as the state government's special representative at New Delhi for a year.
A release by state chief secretary M Sai Kumar announced the appointment on Friday.
Narayana's KVN Productions helmed "Jana Nayagan", dubbed the swan song of CM C Joseph Vijay's acting career. In May, he was spotted with Vijay and other TVK leaders when they met governor Rajendra Arlekar to stake a claim to form the government.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) deputy general secretary 'Tiruchi' Siva said the choice of a person from Karnataka was shocking. "The question that arises is whether he will stand, represent and voice for Mekedatu dam issue in favour of Tamil Nadu," Siva noted....
