Mumbai, Sept. 19 -- A second-year student of Energy Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay allegedly died by suicide on Friday, triggering protests by students. Students said the incident followed an exam in which he was allegedly caught looking at another student's paper and asked to leave the hall. They claimed officials later warned him of disciplinary action. IIT Bombay, however, said he was found using a mobile phone and had uploaded the question paper to ChatGPT for answers.
