MLA funds for drinking water
India, Oct. 6 -- The state government has allowed legislators to use Rs.25 lakh under the MLA local area development programme for drinking water supply works in drought-affected areas during the current financial year.
The announcement covers various works relating to wells, borewells, storage tanks, restoration of damaged pipelines, arrangements for tankers, procurement of plastic storage tanks, and arrangements to provide water to livestock at government-approved animal shelters and fodder camps....
