Minor stabs kurla man to death over auto dispute
MUMBAI, March 19 -- A 17-year-old boy allegedly stabbed a 48-year-old man to death in Kurla East on Monday night after being asked to get off the victim's parked autorickshaw, police said.
The victim, Jairaj Jaypal Naidu, was attacked after he asked the minor to get off his parked auto, which the boy allegedly used to sit in with his girlfriend.
Police said Naidu, a clerk who also drove his autorickshaw on holidays, had repeatedly warned the boy against using the vehicle.
"On Monday night, when Naidu returned home around 9 pm, he again found the boy sitting in the auto and asked him to get down," said a police officer.
The teen was sitting in the auto with his girlfriend, who fled after Naidu told them to leave.
The boy then allegedly got into an argument, pulled a knife from his pocket, and stabbed Naidu in the neck before fleeing the scene.
Naidu was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital by his son and locals but was declared dead on arrival.
Police have registered a murder case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and apprehended the minor, who has been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Tuesday....
