mca elections to be held on november 12
Mumbai, Oct. 10 -- The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) elections will be held on November 12, it was announced on Thursday.
Apart from the posts of president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary and treasurer, the elections will also be held for nine posts of apex council members and the governing council of the T20 Mumbai League.
"The Apex Council has appointed Mr JS Saharia, former Chief Secretary & former State Election Commissioner of Maharashtra, as the Electoral Officer to conduct the elections," the MCA said in a statement.
Jehangir Pithawala XI completed a huge innings and 80 run victory against VV Karmarkar XI in their U-23 Shalini Bhalekar Trophy match.
Brief scores: VV Karmarkar XI 75 & 130 (Umar Khan 3/39, Pravesh Pal 3/47) lost to Jehangir Pithawala XI 288/6d by an innings & 80 runs; Dilip Vengsarkar XI 302/9 & 147/5 drew with Dr Snehlata Deshmukh XI 247.

St Peter's, Bandra registered an authoritative 5-0 win over Our Lady of Fatima, Vidya Vihar in the 45th Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana Rink Football Tournament. Ryan Rocha and Ryan D'Souza scored a brace each while Mohit C also found the net for the winners.
