NAVI MUMBAI, Aug. 26 -- A 29-year-old man died after allegedly slipping and falling from the Pir Karam Ali Shah Dargah in Panvel on Monday evening while carrying out cleaning and painting work and preparing to install a flag, police said. The deceased, Avim Mukhtar Maniyar, was a resident of Kachhi Mohalla on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Panvel. According to Panvel City police, Maniyar had gone to the dargah on Monday for maintenance work. While carrying it out, he allegedly lost his footing and fell from the dargah, sustaining serious head injuries. He was rushed to the Sub-District Hospital in Panvel, where doctors declared him dead at around 5.20pm, a police officer said.
