Thane, July 27 -- A 29-year-old man died after his motorcycle rammed into the rear of an allegedly improperly parked dumper at Teen Hath Naka on Saturday afternoon. Police have booked the dumper driver, alleging that the vehicle was parked dangerously on the main road without reflectors or warning signs. The deceased, Sahil Saxena, a Bhandup resident, was riding home when he allegedly failed to spot the stationary dumper in the dark and crashed into it. According to police, dumper driver Manoj Patel had parked the vehicle on the main road in a manner that allegedly obstructed traffic and created a hazard for motorists and pedestrians. The police further said that the stationary dumper also allegedly lacked reflectors or warning signs to alert motorists in the dark. Saxena allegedly failed to notice the vehicle in time and crashed into its rear. Hitesh More, a friend of Saxena who had dined with him shortly before the accident, told police that Saxena suffered severe head injuries. More rushed him to Jupiter Hospital in Thane, where he was admitted but was declared dead shortly afterwards. The Wagle Estate police have booked Patel under relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and Sections 106(1) and 285 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)....
