Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 26 -- The Kerala High Court on Wednesday asked the producers of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond to not release the controversial film until the petitions challenging its release are decided. The high court has been hearing a batch of three petitions challenging the censor board certificate granted to the film. The petitioners have sought a stay on the film's release on the ground that its contents defame the state and may incite communal passions. During the hearing on Wednesday, justice Bechu Kurian Thomas orally told the producers that it will hear all parties when the latter informed the court that the film is slated to release in theatres on Friday and that its overseas rights have been sold for distribution. "Then you can stall it right now. If you are putting the court into a corner, then I will state that until we complete the hearing...I will give you enough and more time, you can argue but don't release it until the arguments are over," the judge reportedly said. During the hearing, the producers of the film opposed the stand of the petitioners, claiming that the latter do not have any individual grievance about the film....
