JHANSI/KANPUR, Sept. 23 -- A 19-year-old woman died allegedly by suicide on Tuesday following a gang-rape by six people, including three minors, in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi, police said on Tuesday. Her family has alleged the accused threatened to circulate a video of the crime if she disclosed the incident. Senior superintendent of police Jhansi Vikas Kumar said five of six accused had been apprehended, while the sixth was absconding. On Monday, the woman went to a cattle barn for some work when the six accused allegedly caught her and gang-raped her. "Distressed by the threats to circulate the video, she consumed poison," a family member said. Police said she was brought dead at around 4 am on Tuesday.
