Fourth AIADMK legislator resigns from post, joins TVK
India, May 27 -- A fourth All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) MLA resigned from his post and joined the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Tuesday, deepening the crisis within the opposition party after its defeat in the Tamil Nadu polls. Esakki Subaya, the MLA from Ambasamudhram and a member of the SP Velumani-CV Shanmugam faction, submitted his resignation to assembly speaker JCD Prabhakar at the state secretariat. Subaya later met TVK ministers N Anand and KA Sengottaiyan and was formally inducted into the party. His exit comes a day after 3 AIADMK MLAs - Maragatham Kumaravel, P Sathyabama and S Jayakumar - resigned from their posts and joined the ruling party.
