Mumbai, May 28 -- A 55-year-old fisherman from Versova died on Wednesday evening after his fishing boat capsized near Khar Danda. The police received a call from the lighthouse in Warin Pada in Khar Danda around 6.15pm, saying two men had swum ashore dragging a third man, said Sanjeev Dhumal, senior police inspector, Khar police station. The police patrolling team pulled out the men and took them to Bhabha Hospital, where Ashok Kishan Rathod was declared dead on arrival. The deceased's son Ketan Rathod, 32, told the police after he was discharged that he, his father and a neighbor had set out for fishing from Versova jetty around 1.30pm.
