ED opposes Vijay Mallya's plea for closure of criminal cases
Mumbai, Sept. 11 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has opposed Vijay Mallya's plea before the Bombay High Court seeking closure of criminal proceedings against him, arguing that the case involves scheduled offences and money laundering, not merely a commercial dispute.
The ED said recovery of bank dues does not extinguish criminal liability under the PMLA.
