DNA of kin of 49 missing people from maha sent to Nepal, China
Mumbai, Sept. 16 -- The Maharashtra government has sent DNA profiles of families of 49 people missing after flash floods near the Nepal-China border on August 26 to authorities in Nepal and China through the Centre, officials told HT. The profiles will be matched with DNA samples from bodies recovered in the two countries.
The 49 were among 64 travelling to Kailash Mansarovar with Dr Milind Chitley's Hills and Trails, in partnership with Richa Tours in Nepal. Families from across the state submitted samples at the Forensic Science Laboratories, Kalina. No matches have been reported yet. P4...
