Direct tax collections rise by 12.4% to Rs.6L-cr
India, June 19 -- Gross direct tax collections in the current financial year 2026-27 up to June 17 have seen a 12.46% annualised growth to about Rs.6.10 lakh crore, driven by higher corporate and non-corporate tax revenues, according to government data released on Thursday. Gross corporate tax (CT) revenue in the period (April 1 to June 17) increased by 11.32% to Rs.2.76 lakh crore in comparison to the previous fiscal year. Gross non-corporate tax (NCT) jumped by 12.05% to Rs.3.14 lakh crore.
