MUMBAI, Nov. 3 -- A 15-year-old Class 10 student allegedly died by suicide at her home in Kandivali East on Sunday night. Her parents found her hanging in her bedroom and rushed her to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali West, where doctors declared her dead on arrival at around 10pm. Following a distress call from the parents, Assistant Police Inspector (API) Vasant Pawar and a team from Samta Nagar police station were dispatched to the family's high-rise apartment in Thakur Village. The police conducted a spot panchnama and sent the body for post-mortem examination. They have also recorded the statement of the girl's father. "Based on the preliminary investigation, we have registered an accidental death report as there was no suicide note or indication of foul play. However, we are investigating the cause," said an officer from Samta Nagar police station. Another police officer said the father had not expressed any suspicion of murder or foul play in his statement....
