CET cell reopens registration for 2nd attempt in PCB, PCM streams
Mumbai, April 23 -- The Higher and Technical Education Department has allowed a special window for students who missed registering for the second session of the CET, enabling fresh applications for a second attempt in PCM and PCB streams.
Students can register on April 23 through the official website of State Common Entrance Test Cell (www.mahacet.org).
The CET cell is conducting the MHT-CET for engineering, pharmacy and agriculture courses for the 2026-27 academic year.
Announcing the move, state education minister Chandrakant Patil said the extension was granted after receiving repeated requests from students.
"Several students had requested additional time to complete their registration. Considering their difficulties, this special extension has been granted. Students should use this opportunity responsibly and complete the process within the given time," said Patil.
Officials clarified that candidates already registered for both attempts need not apply again.
Those who have not generated an APAAR ID are advised to do so via DigiLocker before completing the registration process....
