PUNE, May 21 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned the son of arrested RCC Classes director Shivraj Motegaonkar in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. Investigators suspect that the leaked question paper may have been procured allegedly for the benefit of Motegaonkar's son, who had appeared for the NEET examination this year. According to sources, the questioning took place in Pune as the agency intensified its probe into the wider examination leak network. The CBI is examining whether the leaked paper and answer keys were circulated among select students before the examination. Shivraj Motegaonkar, founder of the Latur-based RCC coaching institute, was arrested earlier by the CBI after investigators allegedly recovered leaked NEET question papers from his mobile phone. The agency has claimed that he was part of an organised racket involved in obtaining and circulating the exam paper nearly 10 days before the exam. Already BJP leader from Latur also alleged that, Motegaonkar may have leaked NEET paper for his son. BJP MLA Abhimanyu Pawar alleged, "Motegaonkar had links with Congress. In fact he is Congress workers and during the recently held state assembly election he claimed that he is a strong follower of Deshmukh family." Pawar further alleged, "As per my information, Motegaonkar leaked NEET question papers for his son as his son also appeared for the NEET exam this year." However, Congress MP from Latur Dr Shivaji Kalge rejected the allegations. "This is not true. In fact BJP leaders are supporting him and many BJP leaders are seen with him in photographs. In fact, I and our party demanded the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for his inefficiency in handling this crisis," Kalge said. Kalge also questioned the repeated emergence of NEET paper leak controversies. "How and why does the NEET paper get leaked every year? This is nothing but the failure of the government," he said.
