MUMBAI, Aug. 18 -- The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to build an underground pedestrian link that will connect the Mahalaxmi Racecourse or the Science Centre Metro station area on Line 3 with the Coastal Road's Worli promenade. The 3.5-4-km link aims to provide a convenient connection for Metro commuters and pedestrians travelling towards the promenade. Estimated to cost the BMC around Rs.700 crore, the project is proposed to be implemented by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL).
