MUMBAI, Aug. 6 -- The body of a businessman reported missing from Santacruz on August 1 was found at Kalamb beach near Arnala in Virar on Tuesday evening. Police said Nilesh Likhitkar, 38, appears to have drowned but they couldn't say why at this preliminary stage. Likhitkar, who lived in Santacruz west, had a warehouse where he stored electrical equipment, also in Santacruz. Police said he called his wife around 11:30pm on August 1, saying he was on his way home. However, his mobile phone was switched off shortly afterwards and he never returned. A missing persons complaint was registered at the Santacruz police station. Family members told the police Likhitkar had recently been engaged in a dispute over recurring water leakage at his warehouse. Police are investigating the allegations. "We have sent the body for a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death and to find out whether the death was by suicide or murder," said a police officer with the Arnala Sagri police station....
