MUMBAI, Sept. 22 -- Citizen groups in Bandra West have asked the civic administration to keep the area's waterfront promenades - Bandstand, Carter Road and Reclamation - focused on walking, recreation and sports, while restricting commercial events, food plazas and advertising installations. They have also opposed any public-private partnership (PPP) model for managing the promenades, warning that it could encourage commercialisation of the public spaces.
