MUMBAI, July 1 -- In another setback for Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT), its MLC Sachin Ahir joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena on Tuesday, days after six of the party's Lok Sabha MPs switched sides. Ahir, a former MLA from Worli and a close aide of Aaditya Thackeray, was also fielded by Sena for the Legislative Council deputy chairperson election scheduled for July 1. Ahir's exit is seen as a significant blow to Thackeray.
