New Delhi, June 23 -- Air India is considering a long-term reduction in the number of flights it operates, by up to 30%, as part of its effort to return to profitability, officials at the Tata Group-owned airline said. The Air India Group has reduced the number of flights it operates since March, from 34,481 flights to 27,736 in June, but these cuts were expected to be temporary.
