MUMBAI, April 12 -- A 75-year-old man lost his life after a portion of his house's balcony collapsed in Bhandup West on Saturday morning. The victim, Susai Devdas Kaunder, was on the extended balcony of his single-storey home in Tulshipada, Patkar Compound, when the slab suddenly gave way around 9.45am. Civic officials from S-ward said the structure was old, and rusted iron angle bars supporting the balcony are suspected to have caused the collapse. Kaunder was rushed to nearby Navkaar Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Officials are probing the incident and have cited structural deterioration as the likely cause....
