New Delhi, Aug. 15 -- Two farmers were killed and two others injured after armed men allegedly opened fire on the group in Langka Naga village of Manipur's Kangpokpi district on Friday. According to police, 40 armed men attacked the farmers, with locals alleging that Kuki militants were responsible for the attack. The attack has triggered fresh tension in the area, with Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur (LNC-M) announcing an immediate and indefinite total shutdown across Liangmai Naga-inhabited areas in the state.
