19-year-old boy drowns in Banganga Tank
MUMBAI, Aug. 23 -- A 19-year-old boy died after drowning in the Banganga tank on the morning of August 22. The mishap took place at around 1.30 pm when Shekhar Rawal was visiting the tank with a friend.
"He was reportedly washing his hands and legs in the water when he slipped and fell. By the time his friend noticed and raised an alarm for other local residents to help, it was too late," said Sanjay Shirke, a resident of the nearby Teen Batti, Walkeshwar. Rawal was taken to the nearby St Elizabeth's Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. He helped manage his family's flower stall at Opera House....
