MUMBAI, July 9 -- Fourteen-year-old Hafiz Shaikh drowned after he was pushed into a well by his 15-year-old friend in Govandi on Monday. Police said the two teenagers, along with other friends, had gone to Patilwadi to catch crabs from a well. The accused kicked Shaikh, causing him to lose his balance and fall into the well, police said. "The accused knew Hafiz didn't know how to swim and still kicked him into the well," said an officer from the Govandi police station. Shaikh was pulled out by firefighters but declared dead when he was taken to hospital. Police arrested the 15-year-old, who has been sent to the Dongri Children's Home by the Juvenile Justice Board. The accused is a resident of Shivaji Nagar, Govandi. Shaikh was a resident of Baiganwadi. "His father Ismail Shaikh, 38, a tailor, said the boys often argued and fought with each other. He believes the accused deliberately pushed his son into the well," said the officer. Based on Shaik's father's complaint, they have registered a case of murder....
