Youth duped of Rs 2.1 lakh in alleged forex trading scam, FIR filed
PRAYAGRAJ, July 18 -- A youth from the Dilippur police station area in Pratapgarh has allegedly been cheated of Rs 2.10 lakh after being lured into investing in forex trading with promises of high returns.
The accused reportedly showed him a profit of Rs 4.87 lakh on a trading app but later demanded an additional payment of Rs 95,555 to process the withdrawal before severing all contact.
According to police, an FIR has been registered against seven individuals, including a company, and an investigation is underway. The victim Kaushalendra stated in his complaint that between August and September last year, the accused identified as Randeep Singh, Rudra Dubey, Bhola Kumar Gautam and Ilu Kanodia contacted him and claimed to be brokers associated with FX Algo Trading Company. They persuaded him to invest in forex trading by assuring substantial profits. Dilippur SHO Balram Singh said that an FIR has been registered against seven persons, including the company, under relevant sections related to cheating and fraud.
