Youth booked for entering govt school, filming video in Deoria
Gorakhpur, Aug. 24 -- Police have registered a case against a youth and social media activists for allegedly entering a government primary school in Deoria district without permission on a Sunday (August 16) and filming a video of construction debris lying on the premises before uploading it on social media. The education department alleged that the video was intended to create a misleading impression and tarnish the image of the school and the department.
Block education officer (BEO) Vinaysheel Mishra lodged a complaint at Gauri Bazar police station in Deoria. According to the BEO, the incident took place on August 16, when the Damarbhiswa primary school was closed for a holiday. The school was locked, but the accused allegedly climbed over the boundary wall and entered the premises without permission from the competent authorities.
The BEO said the youth filmed debris lying in one corner of the school campus and subsequently shared the video on social media. The education department claimed that the debris was from an old and unusable building that had already been auctioned and demolished as per rules....
