Yogi to launchRs.1,311-crore projects in Lakhimpur Kheri today
LUCKNOW, April 11 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of a total of 538 projects worth Rs.1,311 crore in Lakhimpur Kheri on Saturday.
He will also address public meetings in Palia and Mohammadi assembly constituencies and hand over land allotment letters, house keys and cheques to various beneficiary families.
An official spokesman said the programme includes the inauguration of 345 projects worth Rs.356 crore and the foundation laying of 193 projects worth Rs.955 crore.
These projects will benefit people of seven assembly constituencies of the district, namely Lakhimpur, Gola Gokarnnath, Srinagar, Palia, Nighasan, Mohammadi and Dhaurahra. The programme will begin from Chandan Chowki (Palia), where the chief minister will address a public gathering and provide land ownership rights documents to families of the Tharu tribe, along with demo cheques to beneficiaries.
Additionally, under the Chief Minister Awas Yojana (Rural), beneficiaries will be handed over house keys, while inauguration and foundation laying of construction works will also be carried out.
The Yogi government has decided to grant Tharu tribe families full ownership rights over land. Under this, in Palia tehsil, 4,356 families from 34 villages of the Tharu tribe have been provided land rights over 5,338 hectares. In 1976, these families were given land usage rights; now, the Yogi government is set to grant them full ownership. htc...
