NEW DELHI, Sept. 30 -- India's gold medal tally rose to six at the 2026 Asian Games on Tuesday, with the women's 4x400m relay team winning the country's first athletics gold at Aichi-Nagoya and Neeru Dhanda making history with an individual women's trap title at the continental event. The quartet of Kiran Pahal, MR Poovamma, Prachi Chaudhary and Vithya Ramraj clocked 3:29.69 to win gold, ahead of Bahrain and China. The men's 4x400m and mixed 4x100m relay teams also made the podium, adding bronze medals. Gulveer Singh clinched a hat-trick of medals at the Games as he finished third in the 5,000m final.
