PRAYAGRAJ, June 24 -- On Tuesday morning in Muradpur village under Pipri police station area of Kaushambi, a woman was allegedly murdered and her body was found hanging from a noose. Based on the complaint filed by her family, the police have registered a case against her husband and mother-in-law and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Arvind Kumar, a resident of Chhota Lalpur village in the Pipri area, stated that he had married off his sister, Babli (25), to Suraj of Muradpur village two years ago. Babli's family alleged that her husband and mother-in-law harassed and assaulted her for dowry, demanding a motorcycle and Rs.50,000.
