LUCKNOW, Aug. 25 -- A 35-year-old labourer who went missing from Gosainganj on July 3 was allegedly drugged with six sedative tablets mixed in kheer by his wife before she, her brother and a cousin killed him, police said. According to police, the body of Ramteerath was allegedly stuffed into a sack and dumped in a dry canal in Barabanki's Satrikh area in the early hours of July 5. His body was found the same day but could not be identified initially. On July 10, his father Dayaram identified him after seeing a photograph of the unidentified body on social media, police said. The Barabanki police subsequently arrested Ramteerath's wife Ramdulari, her brother Awadhesh and cousin Sarjeet on July 10. During the investigation, police established that the murder had allegedly taken place in Gosainganj, following which the case was transferred to the Gosainganj police on Sunday. Assistant commissioner of police, Gosainganj, Rishabh Yadav said the investigation established that Sarjeet's house in Gosainganj was the alleged crime scene. The police have now registered an FIR for murder and started further investigation....
