Jaipur, June 17 -- A woman and her teenage son were killed after a speeding trailer rammed into their motorcycle and ran them over in Jaipur's Harmada area on Tuesday morning. The trailer driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot after the accident, police said. Harmada SHO Uday Singh Yadav said the accident occurred around 9 am near Neendar Mod on the Jaipur-Chomu road. A cement-laden trailer travelling towards Jaipur allegedly hit a motorcycle carrying the mother and son from behind. The impact threw the riders onto the road, after which the trailer ran over them. The victims were identified as Sangita (40) and her son Krish (18), residents of Mansa Mata Nagar in Harmada. Police said Krish had taken his mother on the motorcycle for some work when the speeding trailer struck them from behind. Both died on the spot due to the severity of their injuries. After receiving information about the accident, Harmada police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to the Kanwatia Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. The trailer has been seized, and a search has been launched to trace the absconding driver. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway. htc...
