Agra, Sept. 16 -- A woman, 65, died and her husband, 70, had his leg amputated after being hit by a train while crossing the railway line at a railway crossing. The incident happened when the barrier was closed at Ganjdundwada in Kasganj district, on Tuesday morning. Komal Kuntal, Govt Railway Police (GRP) in-charge, Kasganj, said that the tragic incident took place at 5.41 am on Tuesday, when train no 19401, Sabarmati Lucknow Express was passing the railway crossing at Ganjdundwada town of Kasganj district. "The aged couple attempted to walk through the railway line but were struck by the train. Lata (65) died on spot while her husband Ramveer (70) was badly injured and had his left leg amputated. They were residents of village Nibaua within the limits of Sidhpura police station of Kasganj district," said Kuntal. Injured Ramveer was rushed to CHC at Ganjdundwada and the body of his wife was sent for a post-mortem examination. They were both planning to board the train for Mathura and attempted to cross the closed railway barrier and met with tragedy....
