VARANASI, Sept. 25 -- There is a need to strengthen digital health services, integrate more health institutions into the ABDM framework, and promote the use of digital health records, stressed Ritu Maheshwari, secretary of medical, health and family welfare, for the government of Uttar Pradesh and Mission Director, ABDM in state. She was speaking at a workshop on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) at the Rudraksh International Convention Centre on Wednesday, aimed at ensuring effective implementation of the mission and strengthening digital health services. Officials and doctors from the Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare, health institutions and the private sector participated in the workshop. Divisional Commissioner S Rajalingam said that the ABDM insights shared during the workshop would be effectively implemented across health institutions in the division, stressing better coordination among departments. SACHIS CEO Archana Verma highlighted enhanced digital coordination between the ABDM and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Chief medical officer Dr NP Singh highlighted the role of the health department and associated healthcare institutions in the effective implementation of the ABDM, while Dr Mohit Singh, ABDM UP joint director conducted the workshop. Ajit Sehgal, president of the Nursing Home Association; Dr Siddharth Rai, manager of Heritage Medical College; Dr Anurag Tandon, IMA president; Dr Akash, medical superintendent of Pandit Mahamana Cancer Centre; and Dr Sudha, IMA president, Jaunpur, attended the event.
