Why marriage feels unfulfilling even with the right partner? Psychologist decodes
India, July 26 -- Sometimes even marrying the right person on paper, may not feel right from within. One of the hardest relationship struggles is to explain why everything feels emotionally incomplete when nothing appears to be wrong. Counselling psychologist-author Damini Grover, explains the disconnect.
Economic stability, common education, similar backgrounds, or common interests can never replace or even create an emotional connection.
"While we understand compatibility only in terms of a social checklist, we often miss emotional compatibility," explains Damini, saying two people can be deeply committed and still have difficulty connecting because they express emotions differently.
Damini highlights that many people never learnt what emotional intimacy looks like. At times, emptiness stems from giving up parts of you in silence.
