LUCKNOW, March 7 -- The water works department (Jalkal) has announced that supply in Tilak Nagar and nearby areas will remain disrupted on Saturday morning after a major pipeline was damaged beneath the Aishbagh bridge. Repair work is on to restore supply at the earliest, said officials. The damaged pipeline passes beneath the Aishbagh bridge in Zone 2 of the municipal corporation and supplies water to parts of Tilak Nagar ward. As soon as the department received information about the damage, the technical team was rushed to the spot for repair work. Jalkal department general manager Kuldeep Singh said the pipeline damage has forced the department to temporarily halt water supply to the area while repairs are carried out.
