VP Radhakrishnan to inaugurate 10-storey Dharamshala in Vns today
	
		
				VARANASI, Oct. 31 -- Vice president CP Radhakrishnan will visit Varanasi on Friday for the first time since assuming office.
During his visit, he will inaugurate a newly constructed 10-storey Dharamshala in the Sigra area in the presence of chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Dharamshala, built by Sri Kasi Nattukkottai Nagara Satram Managing Society, features 140 air-conditioned rooms, each accommodating up to three people.
The facility also includes VIP suites, parking space for 174 vehicles, and arrangements for free meals for devotees.
The foundation stone of the Dharamshala was laid on April 17, 2024.
According to office bearers of the organisation, the facility, despite being in a prime city area, will be made available to the public at affordable rates. Final decisions on the pricing will be taken after the inauguration.
Divisional commissioner S Rajalingam said preparations for the vice president's visit have been completed. He will also visit the Baba Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Commissioner of police, Varanasi, Mohit Agarwal, reviewed the security arrangements for the vice president's visit.
He directed officials to ensure a multi-layered security setup along the VVIP route and venue.
Additional police personnel have been deployed at sensitive locations, and intensive checks are being conducted at entry and exit points....
