LUCKNOW, Sept. 17 -- The Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Establishment on Wednesday conducted searches at the Lucknow residence and a private ITI allegedly linked to Subhash Chandra, a grade-III manager with the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Village Development Bank, as part of a disproportionate assets investigation. According to a vigilance press note issued on Wednesday, the searches resulted in documents and other evidence indicating that Chandra and his family members had allegedly invested in substantial movable and immovable assets. The vigilance department put the total value of the assets and investments identified during the searches at Rs.4.40 crore. The searches were conducted by two teams of the vigilance establishment's CI Sector after investigators obtained warrants from the special court for Prevention of Corruption Act cases.
