VARANASI, June 24 -- Investment proposals worth Rs.21,922.12 crore have been received in Varanasi through 197 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), officials said during a meeting of the district udyog Bandhu Committee and the MoU Implementation Unit held at the Collectorate Auditorium on Tuesday. Of the proposed projects, 96 have become fully operational, bringing investments worth Rs.5,241.54 crore on the ground, while work is progressing on another 27 projects, according to the Industries Department. Chairing the meeting, district magistrate Satyendra Kumar reviewed the progress of industrial development in the district and directed officials to ensure the timely resolution of issues raised by investors.
