Vacant posts of instructors in ITIs, polytechnics to be filled in transparent manner: Min
Lucknow, Aug. 19 -- In a significant step aimed at providing technical and vocational education to the youth and improving their employment prospects, the Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has decided to fill vacant instructor posts in government ITIs and polytechnics through a transparent recruitment process. Minister of state (independent charge) for social welfare Asim Arun directed that vacant positions in institutes across various districts, including the Rajkiya Govind Ballabh Pant Polytechnic in Lucknow, be filled at the earliest. Until the formal recruitment process is complete, retired teachers and other eligible personnel are being engaged as temporary instructors.
Currently, around 40 instructor posts remain vacant. These include seven posts at the Rajkiya Govind Ballabh Pant Polytechnic on Mohan Road in Lucknow, 23 posts at the Rajkiya Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow, nine posts at the Rajkiya ITI/Polytechnic in Gorakhpur, and one post at the Rajkiya ITI/Polytechnic in Pratapgarh.
Asim Arun said, "Appointing instructors will strengthen the academic standards of the institutes and enable students to gain better practical knowledge of modern technologies. The process of selecting eligible candidates through a transparent and impartial procedure is also being initiated."...
