Uttar Pradesh adds 950 MBBS seats this year
Lucknow, Nov. 1 -- Uttar Pradesh has added 950 MBBS seats for the session 2025-26, admissions for which are going on.
According to the data from the director general of medical education's (DGME) office, three new government medical colleges have started admission this year. The state medical college in Amethi got 100 seats, ESIC medical college in Noida (50 seats) and ESIC medical college in Varanasi (50 seats).
At present, the third round of counselling is going on, and next will be the stray vacancy round, wherein students can take admission. In 12 private medical colleges, 750 MBBS seats have increased, taking total number of additional seats to 950. The state that had 5,250 MBBS seats in government institutions and 6,600 MBBS seats in private (11,850 in total) now has 12,800 MBBS seats....
