Lucknow, Aug. 27 -- The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) on Wednesday declared the results of the UPTET 2026, with more than 13.3 lakh candidates qualifying the teacher eligibility examination held across 60 districts. UPESSC chairman Prashant Kumar said the examination was conducted on July 2 and 3 in two shifts each day and on July 4 in a single shift, covering a total of five shifts across 955 centres in 60 districts. The five shifts included three for the upper primary level and two for the primary level. A total of 19,94,661 candidates had registered for the examination, according to an official statement. Kumar said the commission successfully conducted the examination involving more than 19 lakh candidates with fairness, transparency and security. "The result has been prepared by following the comparative evaluation process prescribed in the notification," he said. At the primary level (classes 1 to 5), 7,13,648 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 5,71,435, or 80.07%, qualified. At the upper-primary level (classes 6 to 8), 10,57,021 candidates appeared, and 7,59,513, or 71.85%, qualified, the statement added. Among serving teachers, 93,387 out of 1,22,405 candidates (76.29%) qualified at the primary level, while 1,13,384 of 1,46,394 candidates (77.45%) qualified at the upper-primary level.Candidates can check their results on the official UPESSC website: https://upessc.up.gov.in/. htc...
