UPSIDA nod to drone vigil, e-auction of industrial land
Lucknow, April 2 -- The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has approved drone-based monitoring of industrial areas and e-auction of the remaining 25% of allotable land after 75% allocation, according to a press release issued by the chief minister's media cell on Wednesday.
The decisions were taken at UPSIDA's 50th board meeting chaired by Alok Kumar, additional chief secretary, infrastructure and industrial development, the release said.
The board also approved third-party inspection of development works to ensure quality and transparency, along with policy changes to strengthen the land bank and streamline allotment, according to the press note. Layout maps for industrial areas in Kampil Spinning Mill, Mau Aima, Bahadurganj, Salempur and Barabanki were approved, while proposals for Ballia, Hathras, Fatehpur and Chitrakoot were revised.
The release said infrastructure development in industrial areas will be expedited within a year, while road connectivity and logistics facilities will be strengthened before land acquisition in Saharanpur and Badaun.
